Entries deadline: Monday 4th June 2018, h 24:00 for both competitions.

Late entries: After the deadline, entries can be accepted no later than 6th of June and only when confirmed by the organizers (the entry fee will be increased by 50%). On race days, entries will be open for the ESORDIENTI (BEGINNERS), and DIRECT class with the regular entry fee.

In compliance with the Italian law for safety in sports, only foreign competitors with a valid membership card of an Orienteering Club affiliated to a National Federation are allowed to register to the competition. With the registration, the competitor declares to have a valid membership card.

TECHNICAL INFO

RACE TYPE: Sprint Race – WRE
MAP: Merate: Mapped in 2015, updated in 2018 – Scale 1:4000.
TERRAIN DESCRIPTION: The historic centre of Merate hosts the 3rd round of the Orienteering Sprint Race Tour. The map alternates public parks with narrow streets and alleys with multiple porticoes and courtyards, the courses will be fast, with small uphill sections and narrow passages.

At the following link is it possible to find the map of the available parkings. From the parkings showed in the map, it is mandatory to follow the route highlighted in blue (Via Matteotti-via Turati-via Trieste-via Papa Giovanni-via Baslini). Every other road is considered as race area.

The parkings are far from 1300m (P4) to 650m (P1), approximately 10′-20′ by walk from the event centre.

Al link seguente è possibile trovare la mappa dei parcheggi per Merate. Dai parcheggi segnalati in mappa seguire esclusivamente le vie evidenziate in blu (Via Matteotti-via Turati-via Trieste-via Papa Giovanni-via Baslini). Le restanti vie sono da considerarsi “zona gara”.

I parcheggi distano dai 1300 m( P4) ai 650 m (P1). Il tempi indicativi per raggiungere il ritrovo variano dai 20 ai 10’.
